Any No-kill Animal Shelters in New Zealand?

Subject: Animal activism in New Zealand

Dear Dr Sing,

With regards to "animal activism" in NZ, there are several organisations out there. There is a wider range of animal shelters and welfare societies in NZ compared to Singapore.

Animal species dealt with here include companion animals, horses, wildlife, and production animals.

The cause against battery hens is very passionately pursued by SAFE, the Auckland Animal Action, the SPCA and also the Green Political Party of NZ.

I believe the people here in general care a lot more about animals than most Singaporeans. Although things seem to be looking up in Singapore.

Here is a non-exhaustive list of Animal Shelter and Welfare organisations that you may be interested in. The first link is worth looking at as it contains most of the organisations in NZ...

With regards to "no-kill" animal shelters in NZ, I'm not sure who they are. You would have to give me more time to find out about it.
