QUESTIONS FROM THE DWARF HAMSTER
OWNER
"What's the cause and how to
prevent warts from forming?" the
young couple asked me. "The cause
is usually a skin virus and warts
usually appear in older animals
and people," I said. "There is no
way to prevent warts forming."
TEACHING MY VETERINARY ASSISTANT
Teaching my veterinary assistant
who graduated from Myanmar as a
vet on the use of electro-surgical
instruments. He can see that
electro-surgery is quite useful.
In Myanmar, he told me the vet he
knew just use some hot iron. At
first, he and his friend probably
thought that this electro-surgical
equipment was a fancy and
expensive tool to be used for
hamster surgery. But he did not
articulate what he thought.
In this case, I showed him how to
use the "loop" to encircle the
wart and electro-incise it from
the base. No bleeding at all. The
rear was a bit reddish. The
hamster went home to a happy
Indonesian Chinese couple.
